Welcome back everyone to this new school year.
I hope that the recent Christmas break was one where you were really able to spend some quality time with your children and loved ones. The children returned to school to find 410 helium balloons launching our Term 1 theme: LIFT YOUR LEARNING!
Many children sat in the 'balloon-chair' and imagined their way into another world. Our term theme focus also served as a goal setting time for children as well as a creative writing stimulus. Make sure that you check your child's grade blog for more photos.

Today, our school community came together to celebrate Grandparents Day, honouring the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, the patron saints of grandparents. 💚 Our beautiful liturgy was made even more special by the wonderful performances from our choir and dance group. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so meaningful. A special thank you to Trish and our staff for their warm hospitality and to all the families who joined us in our open classrooms, sharing in the joy of learning alongside our students. Thank you to all of our grandparents and special guests for spending the day with us. We are so grateful for the love, wisdom and support you bring to the lives of our students. 💚✨

🏉 Stage 3 Touch Football 🏉 Our Stage 3 Touch Football teams had a fantastic day of competition! They gave it their all throughout the day, finishing with a mix of wins, draws and losses. Most importantly, they represented our school with pride, showing excellent sportsmanship, respect and teamwork at every game. 👏 We are so proud of the way they supported one another and displayed such positive attitudes throughout the day. ⛳ Congratulations, Kylo! We are incredibly proud of Kylo for representing St Anthony's at the CSNSW Golf Tournament this week at Blackheath. Competing against students from Years 4–6, Kylo demonstrated determination, resilience and sportsmanship in extremely cold and wet conditions. Despite the challenging course, he played some outstanding golf and represented our school with pride throughout the day. At St Anthony's, we love seeing our students embrace opportunities to challenge themselves, strive for personal excellence and represent our community with integrity. Year 1 Explore Living Things at Featherdale Wildlife Park 🐨🦘 On Monday, our Year 1 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park as part of their Science unit on Living Things. ✨ St Anthony’s Feast Day Celebration ✨ Yesterday we came together to celebrate the Feast Day of St Anthony of Padua. We began our day with a special prayer, reflecting on St Anthony’s example of faith, kindness, service and care for all of creation. Students then moved into their house colours and participated in four meaningful rotations, exploring the Franciscan way through music, creation, reflection and prayer. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect and celebrate the values that St Anthony shared with us. We concluded our Feast Day celebrations with a beautiful liturgy, giving thanks for our community and the inspiration of St Anthony’s life. 💚🙏 #StAnthonysFeastDay #FranciscanValues #SchoolCommunity
