Some of our fantastic students volunteer themselves to the amazing called Mini Vinnies.
As part of the Mini Vinnies, they have been working on a project called the group Buddy Bench. The Buddy Bench is where people can sit together and have a conversation.
This meaning behind the Buddy Bench is that a conversation can change anything. This was inspired by staff and students being more aware of a person well being and how positive and negative things can impact that individual.
Our school's Biddy bench has now been completed and is a good reminder of how we can spread the awareness of all forms of wellbeing as well as how the beauty of friendship can help a lot more than we think.

โจ What a Week of Mercy! โจ Last term, our school community came together to celebrate a truly amazing Week of Mercy. Each day began with a heartfelt Mercy prayer led by our inspiring Year 6 students, setting the tone for a week filled with compassion, reflection and joy. Our beautiful Mercy liturgy was a standout moment with a magical reflection brought to life by our talented choir and dance group. We were also blessed to have Srs Antoinette, Sally and Margaret join us for the liturgy and present the Mercy Awards, recognising students who live out the Mercy values in their everyday actions. The celebrations continued with our much-loved Mercy Cup, a fierce but friendly netball showdown between the teachers and students ๐. This was all wrapped up with the incredible Mercy Markets, organised by Year 6. ๐ Celebrating Sporting Spirit at St Anthonyโs! ๐ We are so proud of all our wonderful athletes who have represented St Anthonyโs at the Cumberland Zone, Parramatta Diocesan Championships, and the Mackillop Athletics Carnival this term. Their commitment, sportsmanship, and school pride have been nothing short of inspiring. To progress through to Diocesan and Mackillop competitions is an outstanding achievement โ congratulations to you all! ๐๐ A special mention to: ๐ Camille (Year 5) โ Cumberland Zone 11 Year Girls Age Champion ๐ฅ Zara (Year 6) โ Cumberland Zone Senior Girls Runner Up ๐ฅ Oliver (Year 6) โ 11 Year Boys Runner Up at both Cumberland Zone and Parramatta Diocesan Carnival Oliver was also chosen represent the Parramatta Diocese as the flag bearer at the Mackillop competition - amazing! Last week, 5 students (Anirudh, Dharshan, Jayden. G, Alan and Aaran) represented St Anthonyโs at the final of the NSW Interschool Chess Championships โ๏ธ There were 104 competitors, representing the top 21 schools from NSW. The boys played well against very tough competitors and their team came 8th out of 21 schools. Congratulations boys. We are very proud of your achievements. ๐๐ผ

๐ St Anthonyโs Shines at NSW Chess Semi-Finals! โ๏ธ Last Thursday, a team of 10 represented St Anthony's at the semi final of the NSW Chess Championships. We played against some very difficult competition and needed to use all of our strategy and skill. We came 3rd overall which means our top five players have qualified for the finals. Dharshan also received a medal for an outstanding individual performance. Well done team! We are very proud of your achievements. ๐๐

๐ Today the school and vice captains went to St Patrickโs Cathedral โช for the 2025 Education Mass, joining all the other primary and secondary representatives ๐ฉโ๐๐จโ๐ from schools in the Parramatta Diocese. The Mass ๐ celebrated all the achievements in the diocese ๐, and even Bishop Vincent led the celebration! โ๏ธ What we enjoyed the most โค๏ธ was learning how other schools put their faith into action โโจ and follow in Godโs footsteps ๐ฃ.
