Some of our fantastic students volunteer themselves to the amazing called Mini Vinnies.
As part of the Mini Vinnies, they have been working on a project called the group Buddy Bench. The Buddy Bench is where people can sit together and have a conversation.
This meaning behind the Buddy Bench is that a conversation can change anything. This was inspired by staff and students being more aware of a person well being and how positive and negative things can impact that individual.
Our school's Biddy bench has now been completed and is a good reminder of how we can spread the awareness of all forms of wellbeing as well as how the beauty of friendship can help a lot more than we think.

They laid a wreath on behalf of all of us to honour and pay their respects to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. ๐บ Lest we forget.

๐ฅ Year 4 Excursion to Lizard Log! ๐งฒ As part of our Science unit on โForcesโ, our Year 4 students had an exciting day of hands-on learning at Lizard Log, Western Sydney Parklands! Students were captivated by fun science presentations, watched their classmates dress up in real safety gear, and took part in interactive experiments to explore the power of forces in action. ๐ Year 3 Excursion to Watsons Bay! ๐ As part of our Science unit on โThe Earthโ, our Year 3 students enjoyed an exciting and hands-on day exploring the beautiful landscapes of Watsons Bay. Students investigated the types and causes of erosion, discovered how human activities can affect our natural environments, and discussed ways we can care for and protect our landforms. Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the โChristine Howe STEM Academic Scholarshipโ, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Students enrolling in Year 7 from 2026 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which reflects the Collegeโs ongoing commitment to excellence in learning within a supportive Catholic community.

๐ Mark Taylor Shield โ Round 2 ๐ Last week, some of our Stage 2 and Stage 3 boys represented St Anthonyโs in the second round of the Mark Taylor Shield against Holy Cross Glenwood. ๐ Faith in Action Across the World ๐ This afternoon, our FIAT Team had the wonderful opportunity to meet with members of the Sisters of Mercy and representatives from Mercy Works from Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste. Together, we shared how Faith in Action is making a difference in communities across the globe. This special meeting coincides with Mercy Works' 25th Anniversary โ celebrating 25 years of walking alongside vulnerable communities to create lasting change. Since 2000, Mercy Works has partnered with grassroots organisations throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific to foster capacity, dignity, and self-reliance, with a special focus on empowering women and children. ๐ We are proud to continue the Mercy story and to be part of this global mission of compassion and service.

๐ Netball Gala Day 2025! ๐ What an incredible day of teamwork, sportsmanship and school spirit at the Parramatta Diocesan Netball Gala Day! Our students represented St Anthonyโs with pride, giving their all on the court and cheering each other on with smiles and high-fives all around. A special shoutout to our Stage 2 Mixed Team who played brilliantly and won their pool! ๐๐ Your effort, teamwork and determination were inspiring; what a fantastic achievement! Well done to all our teams for an amazing day of fun, friendship and fair play. A big thank you to all of the parents who coached and managed teams on the day as well as our umpires - we couldnโt have done it without you!

โจ Today we did something truly special. โจ As a school community, we came together to celebrate peace and light, inspired by Jesusโ example and the symbol of light that shines across many faiths. We also took time to acknowledge and honour our Hindu friends, who celebrate light during this time of year. Together, we lit a Catholic candle and a Hindu Diya, symbols of unity and hope, reminding us that we are stronger as one โ united in peace. ๐ฏ๏ธโจ Our celebration continued with a pilgrimage of peace and hope, where each step reflected our shared commitment to kindness and understanding. We finished beneath a symbolic archway, marking a promise to ourselves and to others: to be peacemakers in our world. ๐๐ To mark this commitment, we also planted a Tree of Peace as a living symbol of hope, harmony, and unity for generations to come. #PeaceAndLight #UnityInDiversity #WeAreOne #FaithInAction
