We opened Catholic School Week with a prayer liturgy prepared by Kindergarten.
Our federal MP Michelle Rowland attended the liturgy and presented children with Mercy Awards for their tireless work in looking after our environment.
Ms Rowland also presented St Anthony's with some new books and a special tree.
The tree was then planted in our Friendship Garden by Mrs Grieves and the "Wormies" Group.

18 of our Year 5/6 Faith in Action students walked in solidarity with children who have to walk up to 30minutes per day to get clean water. They walked with nearly 600 other students from schools across the Parramatta Diocese at Parramatta Park. Students understood: * how contaminated water sources can be * the role of women and children in this process * how hard it feels to walk long distances with heavy buckets of water Let's unite against poverty and support Caritas to get more water tanks to those who truly need it. Continue to collect sponsors for our school Walk for Water next Monday and donate via this link: https://www.projectcompassion.org.au/fundraisers/stanthonysprimaryschoolgirraween and bring in a gold coin to Dunk our Teachers!

Come and visit our Faith in Action Students to Donate to Dunk the Teachers!!! Bring in a gold coin or a few and choose who we can dunk. All proceeds will be going to Caritas to enable ALL children to gain access to clean water just like we have. Let's give alms this Lent and walk in the footsteps of Jesus! Today some of our students proudly represented St Anthony’s at the Zone Swimming Carnival, demonstrating great sportsmanship, determination and team spirit throughout the day. A special congratulations to Sophie Lo for her fantastic effort in the pool, placing 4th in backstroke — an amazing achievement! 👏🏊♀️ We are so proud of all our students for giving their best and representing our school with pride. 💙

On Friday 20th February Year 6 were blessed to attend a faith formation concert and prayer experience with other schools in our diocese. We learned how we are all made in God's image and are called to make waves to make our world a better place. To top it off we got to reflect, pray, sing, dance and even meet the inspiring Gen Bryant!

Today we gathered as a whole school community to celebrate Mass, coming together in faith and gratitude as we begin the new year. During the celebration, we introduced our theme for the year, Learning Uplifts in 2026, reminding us that learning has the power to inspire, empower and lift each of us to be our very best. We also commissioned our Year 6 2026 leaders, acknowledging their commitment to serve our school community with responsibility, kindness and courage.
