Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances
Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.
The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.
The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system.
CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

Recently, our community lost a much-loved former staff member of St Anthony’s. We'd like to take this opportunity to remember and honour Ross Howse. Ross worked at our school from 2000 to 2021, serving our community with dedication, kindness and quiet generosity. He passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer and will be fondly remembered for his laid back approach and the positive impact he had on the lives of students, colleagues and families over many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ross’s family and loved ones at this time. May eternal rest be granted unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. ⚡️ Year 6 Science in Action! ⚡️ This term in Science, our Year 6 students have been exploring electricity. They worked hard to design and build their own electrical devices and recently had the opportunity to proudly showcase their projects to students from other grades. Congratulations to some wonderful writers in Year 6. Jasmine and Kripa entered the Cumberland Council Young Writers Competition 2025. They were given a picture prompt and needed to write a piece to match the prompt. Kripa was awarded runner up in the 8-11 category and Jasmine received highly commended in the 12-14 category. We are very proud of your efforts girls. Keep up the good writing in high school!

✨ Christmas Concert 2025 ✨ What a beautiful evening! Recently, our students brought the Nativity story to life with heartfelt performances, thoughtful storytelling and plenty of Christmas spirit. From our youngest angels to our confident narrators, every child helped share the message of hope, joy and love at the heart of Christmas. Student mobile phone use will be banned across 80 Western Sydney Catholic schools from the beginning of the 2026 school year. The restriction presents a positive opportunity to enhance student outcomes, both in academic excellence and wellbeing.

Today our school leaders, along with Mrs Reilly, proudly represented our school community at the Parramatta RSL Sub-Branch Remembrance Day Service. They laid a wreath on behalf of all of us to honour and pay their respects to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🌺 Lest we forget.
