Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances
Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.
The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.
The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system.
CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

It was a meaningful night of reflection and solidarity with those doing it tough this winter. A huge thank you to Mrs Whitfield, Ms Grima, Ms Awkar and Mrs Brownlow for their incredible support and dedication throughout the evening. 💙 There’s still time to make a difference — QKR is open until Thursday for any final donations to help support people experiencing homelessness this winter. 📽️ Check out this short video capturing the heart of our Winter Sleep Out experience.

⚽ Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day ⚽ Yesterday our Year 3 and Year 4 students proudly represented St Anthony’s at the Stage 2 Boys and Girls Soccer Gala Day. ♟️ Chess Champions! 🏆 Yesterday, 15 students represented St Anthony's at our second local heat chess competition. Our students played 7 rounds and were very successful! 🥳 🏅 Our school came 1st overall! 🎉 We had some excellent individual results as well: 🥇 Alan (Year 5) 🥈 Dharshan (Year 3) 🥉 Jayden (Year 6) 4️⃣ Aaran (Year 5) 7️⃣ Jasmine (Year 6) 🏅 Yeshe (Year 1) – 1st place under 8 years old! 👏 Congratulations to all students for their incredible efforts and sportsmanship! 🎓 We’re excited to have 10 students representing St Anthony’s in the Semi Finals in Term 3! ♟️🌟
