Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances
Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.
The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.
The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system.
CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

Today some of our students proudly represented St Anthony’s at the Zone Swimming Carnival, demonstrating great sportsmanship, determination and team spirit throughout the day. A special congratulations to Sophie Lo for her fantastic effort in the pool, placing 4th in backstroke — an amazing achievement! 👏🏊♀️ We are so proud of all our students for giving their best and representing our school with pride. 💙

On Friday 20th February Year 6 were blessed to attend a faith formation concert and prayer experience with other schools in our diocese. We learned how we are all made in God's image and are called to make waves to make our world a better place. To top it off we got to reflect, pray, sing, dance and even meet the inspiring Gen Bryant!

Today we gathered as a whole school community to celebrate Mass, coming together in faith and gratitude as we begin the new year. During the celebration, we introduced our theme for the year, Learning Uplifts in 2026, reminding us that learning has the power to inspire, empower and lift each of us to be our very best. We also commissioned our Year 6 2026 leaders, acknowledging their commitment to serve our school community with responsibility, kindness and courage. We are proud of the positive example they will set for their peers throughout the year. We look ahead with excitement to a wonderful year of growth, leadership and learning together. 💙
