How do you make a pancake smile? You have to butter it up!
On Tuesday, our school community came together to celebrate Shrove Tuesday, which is better known around the world as Pancake Day.
Shrove Tuesday marks the day before Ash Wednesday and celebrates the upcoming season of Lent.
We were honoured to be joined on the day by Hugh McDermott, the Member of Parliament for Prospect, who helped to cook and serve pancakes for our school community on the day.
We would like to thank all of the students, parents, staff and visitors who were involved on the day and helped to make it a success!

Students participated in a prayer service ๐ led by Faith in Action students and Fr Joby. Catholics believe that Mary was taken up into heaven by God โจ, not just her soul, but her whole body too, because she was so pure and full of grace ๐. We learnt how Mary is a model of: ๐ธ M โ Mary is the Mother of Jesus ๐ถ โ and also our spiritual Mother. ๐ A โ Act with Mercy. Mary was kind and gentle to everyone ๐ค. ๐ฟ R โ Rosary. When we pray the Rosary, we think about the special moments in Jesusโ life โ๏ธ and remember Maryโs love โค๏ธ. ๐ Y โ Mary said โYes!โ to God ๐.

โ๏ธ St Anthonyโs girls participated in the NSW Girls Teams Chess Challenge! โ๏ธ๐งโจ The girls competed in teams of three against other school teams.๐ They had lots of fun ๐๐ and learnt new skills and chess moves. ๐ง ๐ก There were two divisions: Rookies (K-4) ๐ฃ and Primary (5-6). ๐ ๐ Congratulations to the Year 2 team who came ๐ฅ in the rookie division! ๐ Well done to all the girls who attended ๐๐. Our St Anthonyโs STEM Stars! ๐๐ฌ Today, a group of our talented St Anthonyโs students attended the STEM MAD event, where they proudly showcased their incredible learning to schools from across the diocese. They were so well-prepared, confident, and presented beautifully โ we couldnโt be prouder! ๐โจ After their presentations, the students enjoyed exploring exciting science shows and hands-on activities. This wonderful day also continues our celebration of National Science Week, which launched yesterday.
